Terms of Service

Last updated Oct 23, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and us, the operator of Kleersonic. By using Kleersonic you accept them. If you use it for an organisation, you accept them on its behalf.

1. The service

Kleersonic is an online tool that removes background noise from audio and video recordings you choose. The cleaning runs in your web browser, on your device; an internet connection is needed to start each job and to manage your account.

With a paid plan you can also transcribe files stored in your library: our speech AI turns the speech in a file into text, timestamps and captions.

Kleersonic is a digital service. Nothing is shipped: everything you buy is delivered online, in your browser.

2. Accounts

Cleaning files with Kleersonic needs an account, created by signing in with Google; the free plan, paid plans and the library all use it. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18, or have a parent's or guardian's consent, to buy a plan. You can delete your account at any time from your profile.

3. Plans and usage limits

The Free forever plan, with a free account, includes a monthly allowance of cleaned minutes, needs no card, has no library storage and never turns into a paid plan by itself. Paid plans are monthly subscriptions; each includes an allowance of cleaned hours per billing month, an allowance of transcription hours per billing month and an amount of private library storage. The current plans, prices and allowances are on our pricing page; we may change the free allowance from time to time.

  • Cleaned hours are measured by the length of each file you clean, counted when the job starts. A job that fails or that you cancel is normally given back, within a limited number per month.
  • Transcription hours are a separate allowance, measured by the length of the library file you transcribe and counted when the transcription starts. If a transcription fails or you cancel it, the time it didn't use is given back.
  • A paid allowance resets at the start of each billing month, the free plan's at the start of each calendar month (UTC). Unused time does not roll over.
  • When you reach your allowance, you can upgrade or wait for the next billing month.
  • Please don't try to get around the limits, for example with several accounts.

4. Payment

All payments are handled by Razorpay, our payment provider, not by us. You pay on Razorpay's secure payment page, and Razorpay collects every payment, sets up and runs the recurring charge (card, UPI AutoPay or bank mandate), retries a failed renewal, and issues your invoices and receipts. We never receive, see or store your card number, card security code, UPI PIN or bank login. Razorpay does this under its own terms and privacy policy and the card industry's security standard (PCI DSS).

Prices are shown before you pay, in the currency of the plan you choose. Taxes are included or added as Razorpay's payment page shows. Your bank may charge its own fees, for example for a payment in a foreign currency. A problem with a payment method itself — a declined card, a mandate your bank refuses — is between you, your bank and Razorpay; we can't change it, but write to us and we'll help.

5. Automatic renewal

A paid plan renews automatically every month: Razorpay charges the payment method you authorised with it, until you cancel. If a renewal payment fails, Razorpay retries it for a short period and your plan stays active meanwhile. If it still fails, the plan ends and your account returns to the free plan.

6. Changing or cancelling a plan

An upgrade takes effect at once. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing month. You can cancel at any time from your account; you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Payments are not refunded, except for a charge made in error or where the law requires it; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Your content

Your recordings stay yours. We claim no ownership of anything you clean or store. Only process content you have the right to use.

Cleaning happens on your device, so the recordings you clean are not sent to us. We receive only technical details about each job (such as its length and format), as described in our Privacy Policy.

Transcription is optional and only on paid plans. When you start one, the audio of that library file is sent over an encrypted connection to our speech recognition provider, which processes it with zero data retention; neither the provider nor we keep the audio or the transcript (see our Privacy Policy). Only transcribe content you have the right to use.

The library is optional and only on paid plans: a file is stored there only when you upload it or choose “Save to library”. You are responsible for what you store. To move to a smaller paid plan, your library first needs to fit within that plan's storage; while the move is scheduled, new uploads are limited to it. If your plan ends, or your library is over your plan's storage for any other reason, you can still download and delete stored files but cannot add new ones. Deleting a file, or your account, deletes it from our storage.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use Kleersonic to break the law or anyone's rights, to process content you have no right to use, to attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, to resell it without our written agreement, or to get around its limits or security. We may suspend or close an account that does, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Kleersonic available and fast, but we don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that substantially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance, so you can cancel before it takes effect.

10. No warranty

Results depend on the recording. Our speech AI improves most recordings, but it can't promise a particular result for every file. Always keep your original. Transcripts, captions and chapter suggestions are produced automatically and can contain mistakes, such as misheard words, names or timings: check them before you publish or rely on them. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost business, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of India, without affecting any rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live. Before going to court, please write to us — most problems can be solved quickly.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Kleersonic after that means you accept the new terms.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms: support@kleersonic.com. See also our Privacy Policy and Support page.

We review this page periodically and update it when the service or the law changes. The date above shows the latest version.
