For WAV and lossless files

WAV noise removal

Bring WAV files from your recorder or editor and get a WAV back, lined up sample for sample with the original.

Cleaned on your own device — the file is never uploaded.

The problem

What gets in the way

You record in WAV to keep every detail, then find a fan, a hiss or the street under the take. You want it gone without changing the format, the length or where the words sit on your timeline.

  • Preamp and mic hiss
  • Computer fans in a home studio
  • Air conditioning and heating
  • Traffic through the window

What you get

A clean voice, ready to use

  • A WAV with the same sample rate (up to 48 kHz) and bit depth
  • Exactly the same length and timing, so it lines up on your timeline
  • Mono stays mono; stereo stays two channels
  • FLAC files come back as WAV too

How it works

Four steps, one clean file

  1. Step 1: Pick your settings

For a file you will mix, set Loudness to Off so the level stays as recorded. Leave Output format on Same as original.

  2. Step 2: Drop the WAV

Drag a WAV or FLAC file onto the tool, or choose it from your files.

  3. Step 3: Let it clean

Your browser cleans the WAV on your own computer and it is never uploaded. The first file takes a little longer while our speech AI loads.

  4. Step 4: Compare and keep it

The clean WAV downloads by itself when it is ready. Play the A/B preview to switch between original and cleaned at the same moment, or change a setting and choose Download again.

For this recording

Recommended settings

Loudness
Off
Output format
Same as original

Off leaves the level as recorded (peaks are still kept under −1 dBTP), so you decide the rest in your editor.

Set them in the tool before you add the file: they are used for the automatic download, and you can change them afterwards and download again.

Good to know

  • Echo and room reverb stay as recorded: it removes noise, not the sound of the room.
  • A stereo recording comes back with the cleaned voice in both channels; the original stereo image isn’t kept.

Formats & limits

What goes in, what comes out

  • WAV
  • FLAC

Same as original: WAV at the source sample rate and bit depth (16-bit stays 16-bit, deeper files come back as 24-bit, float stays float).

  • WAV keeps the sample rate (up to 48 kHz), bit depth and channel count; a stereo file comes back with the voice in both channels.
  • Files above 48 kHz come back at 48 kHz: cleaned audio has nothing above 24 kHz.

FAQ

Common questions

Will the cleaned WAV line up with my original?

Yes. The processing delay is compensated, so the clean file has the same length and every word sits at the same sample as in the original.

Does it keep 24-bit and 96 kHz?

Bit depth is kept: 16-bit stays 16-bit, 24- and 32-bit integer come back as 24-bit, float as float. Sample rates up to 48 kHz are kept; higher rates come back at 48 kHz.

What happens to a stereo WAV?

You get a two-channel WAV with the cleaned voice in both channels. That works well for speech, but music or a wide stereo field won’t keep its image.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The cleaning runs inside your browser, on your own computer. Your audio and video never leave your device; our server only receives the file’s length and format to check your allowance.

Is it free?

A free account cleans 30 minutes a month, no card needed. The paid plans, Creator (9 hours), Pro (30 hours) and Studio (100 hours) a month, take files up to 3 hours and 4 GB each. See the pricing page for details.
